Dear friends in Ukraine,

I understand you might be fuming for the handful of helmets Germany sent you as a support (!). Here in Greece we also got a taste of this audacity during our conflict with Turkey in 2020 when Germany sent us... a car with 3 wheels, or maybe 4 but without a spare tire, can't precisely recall but something like that. If their foreign policy continues like this (which despite the efforts of the Green party probably won't change that much as long as myopia and money talk) they will head to the same direction US did back in the day after several years of Bush junior's presidency when US citizens wondered "why the rest of the world hates us so much?". For the opposite reasons though. G. Bush was inventing reasons for war, German administration tries to make money hiding behind "pacific" intentions (it's "pacific" when you sell weapons to the least pacific guys on earth). Spare me from both extremes please. They're as fucked up.

In this gloom let's see the bright side of things, or better say the real challenge:

Germany's financial size will never meet its geostrategic one anytime soon but Europe can't wait Germany to mature. Our continent is forced by the present challenges to wake up from dreaming that all potential war conflicts can be avoided with "sanctions" decided in expensive offices by some well fed guys in Brussels. We have no excuses in 2022 (time flies!) to ignore words of wisdom from real great leaders like Churchill who told N. Chamberlain:

“You were given the choice between war and dishonour.  You chose dishonour and you will have war.”

Back in the day the latter was trying to appease Hitler like Merkel did with Erdogan. Fun fact, in one of my numerous trips I met a distant relative of Chamberlain and he looked just like him: tall, slim, delicate.

EU is bordering with well armed bastards who (in the absence of democracy) have all the flexibility to fight whenever they want, wherever they can, for as long as they can. At the same time EU's societies have all the symptoms of the West saturation after so many years of peace hence we spend more energy today in counterproductive pseudo political correctness than dealing with what questions our borders and lifestyle. We can talk all day about the rights of the blue butterflies but this will never take away the burden of answering the question "are we ready to fight or not?". It's not about love of fighting or just for the shake of it (hard to find a more pacifist than myself) it's about securing peace and the best way is to be more prepared for war than your bully neighbour. That's like physic's laws, you can't ignore them. EU can't survive by outsourcing its defence to the US and its industry to China. Needless to mention that this incompetence is bread and butter for the Trumps waiting to take advantage and don't be sure we even got rid off Donald 100% yet.

United States of Europe with competent European Army.  Whoever doesn't share this vision has no vital plan about Europe cause there's no future for Europe without federalism and means to defend our achievements. Of course this can't happen without Germany and if only this the only obstacle. However, everybody has to benefit from a better future EU. Obviously EU citizens but also other parts of the planet who will have an even more competent continent to adapt as a role model for their countries, therefore make them better as well. Otherwise we can just follow the decline that all spoiled societies faced in history and baptise "great leaders" mediocre incompetent figures who bury the future by avoiding to address the problems of today. It's our call as it always was and will be, regardless how much we hate the mirror of our responsibility.
