I live by the moto "never let a beautiful day unharvested". That's not an easy job in a country like Greece but guarantees an eventful life with stories to tell. Funny how a non religious like me has kinda overloaded you with churches over my last posts so I hope you still have space for this one.
A beautiful car drive brings me to my destination with challenging bits during the last part which was kinda too steep and slippery gravel. First thing I see as soon as I arrive is this:
Is this where the priest stays when needed? I guess. Far from fancy for sure and that pinky roof...well...🙂
Of course you don't go all the way up there trashing your car for that, the view is the king:
Let's walk closer to the church:
I guess it doesn't beg the question how come there's benches here right?
With a view like this it's a no brainer:
White church, blue sky, you know you're in Greece:
I guess this is the church's water tank:
Look at the view this thing enjoys on a daily basis:
We tend to place such things on summits:
Most of them have stunning view and this is no exception - there's several islands in the background Makronissos being the first you see:
Huge boulders waiting to go down, hopefully not while anyone's around:
I have great view behind me as I walk closer to the edge,
But ahead things are not bad at all:
For some weird reason the further I go from that church the cuter it looks:
Join me as I take pictures of this uninterrupted 360 view:
I like how the green bushes contrast the blue sky:
With bonus some naturally painted rocks:
Both combined make perfect frames for pictures like this:
Ladies and gents, put your hands together for this baby pine tree:
Years later it will proudly offer its shade to the visitors if it manages to survive the crazy wind and the wildfires.
Time to walk back and start saying goodbye to the church, the water tank and that pinky thingy in the background:
Thank you my dear bench, your view is second to none:
In case anyone doubts here's a reminder:
Would you like to watch a 4K video?
There you go:
Hope you liked it as much as I did,
See you on my next excursions!
