(continued from Episode 17)
Pretty odd set up isn't it?🙂
Blame it on my tendency to share things worth sharing. Therefore, as soon as I settle in my ferry cabin I start recording a timelapse of the window view:
so I have to do another ridiculous set up for my laptop connecting it to the WC's socket and raising it with the other life vest to save some much needed mm from the power cord:
So now you have a new joke: How many life vests does a biker need to create content?🤣
I leave all this hilariousness and go out on the deck to enjoy the ferry's departure.
I fall on the bed like a brick and start a much needed sweet sleep after a full day riding. Though it all felt promising for a great long sleep I open my eyes around 2am for reasons beyond me. I check that the camera is still recording and I try to sleep again but easier said than done.
This results in me waking a little late next day and as I start thinking "shit, I will miss the stop at Igoumenitsa port" I realise we're not gonna stop there anyway as the ferry heads straight to Patra. I grab the chance to kill time in my cabin by sorting my pictures and export videos until around noon is time to consume my last edible bits. How come I managed to carry all that stuff while I still struggle now to close my bags without them is beyond me.
An hour away from the destination port of Patra I have to leave my cabin. Here's what the (not super clean) window of my cabin saw so far:
I take my stuff and go out on the deck to picture Greek soil for the first time after 2 months:
I take my stuff and go out on the deck to picture Greek soil for the first time after 2 months:
Time to carry my stuff down to the garage where my iron horse waits as always patiently ready and willing. 200ish km to make it back home.
Here's a video from the arrival:
And that's where the content of this 2 month trip ends. Not its aftertaste though. Takes a while to digest so stay tuned for my thoughts on it, probably coming soon. Till then, super many thanks to all the awesome people I met over those 4000km and anyone who helped one way or another.
See you on the next one!
