The HIVE Tour - Episode 7 - Finally some decent weather!

Or Spring weather if you prefer. I thought it could just be me as a full Mediterranean being very picky about weather but when I told my friend here at Belgrade that her country offered me my worst May ever she said "well, that's my worst one too".

Today I woke up in fog with 100% relative humidity. You think I'm joking? It's all Greek to you but look at that:

The HIVE Tour - Episode 6: Weather madness!

What I experience here in Serbia outside Belgrade is meteorological insanity and I could almost believe that it's just how things are here but locals tell me it's far from a typical Serbian May so I guess I'm lucky to experience a rarity.

The HIVE Tour episode 4 - One more day walking around Krusevac

Given the last chance before a few rainy days in a row coming up I had two choices on how to spend this current one: Ride or Walk. Since I will have more than enough of the former on this trip over the next months and in the absence of attractive day rides around I decide the latter.

This brings me to (as far as I can tell) the highest point of Krusevac where the local park Bogdana lies. It has cycle tracks as you can see,

The HIVE Tour episode 3 - walking around Krusevac Serbia

I always find a chance to walk after long riding days and now it's one of those times as during the last couple ones I've done over 1000km crossing two borders. So here I am at Serbia now, staying at the city of Krusevac. An important location regarding Serbian history as it became capital even from 1371. Needless to mention the obvious massive amount of bloodshed the area has seen in various wars over the years.

To be precise I stay at Lazarica which I guess took its name after Prince Lazar, an emblematic person in Serbia's history but more on that later. Let's go for a walk.
