(continued from part 7 )
Do I look smiley enough here at Jaufen Pass?
There's still strips of snow at the end of June up here:
Apologies for the redundancy but I liked the view too much to omit any image🙂.
Here's the serpentine road that leads up to here:
Lovely green slopes:
The heroic little flowers that manage to survive above 2000m from sea level:
Yep, you can also have a bite or a drink with a view here:
Yours truly in the background getting ready:
Hoping on the bike:
And hitting the road again:
As we go down the SS44 we decide to make a small detour to Telves cause... what can go wrong even if we're happily lost around? Here's what used to be the thirst stop for animals back in the day:
Decades later I'm on an iron horse so a stop here is only for aesthetic/nostalgic reasons.
That's how the sporadic houses look like here:
Moving on up we get our first sight of the local church:
Not the only thing worth looking at around here:
Same church:
Look at that view:
Houses don't look that bad either:
I can sit here staring at this all day:
Freeze this moment for me please:
Time to hop on the bike again:
Great views are not over though:
Bye Telves (or Telfes if you're more Austrian/German oriented), thanks for the wonderful views!
Did I say that great views are over? Certainly not:
Even at the cafe we stop later for some food and drinks on our way back to Innsbruck:
I look like meditating trying to forget my hunger while waiting for my food basically cause... I kinda am:
The wonders of Italy, even at a cafe you can have a great dish. Too hungry to picture it though - sorry🙏.
See you on part 9!
