The HIVE Tour - Episode 30b - The palace of palaces: Eremitage @ Bayreuth

In the previous (sub) Episode I left you in front of the New Palace here at the Eremitage of Bayreuth. Impressive as it is and as you might have already saw, the same goes for the statues surrounding it:

These are not the only ones of course:

I also like the view to the palace including the backs of those two statues - looks like a season movie:

First world problems again, where to head first?

I don't mind that much, I can gladly be lost walking anywhere around this heaven with these soothing colours:

My walk brings me to the Old Palace:

Built in 1715, this is not a flattering angle due to the early morning sun so I walk around it for better chances:

Interesting to see its sculptured walls:

This one used to be the house of the guard:

Or at least that's my guess when I read "Wachthaus" without speaking German🙂

I really like the old palace's walls though no shells or opal on them:

And I also like the feathered residents of this place:

This is the touristic entrance to the old palace:

And that's the green tunnel that leads to it:

Now I have the sun on my side and picturing is a little easier:

One more beautiful gardening piece:

What you see in the background are the "ruins" of a Roman theater:

(will explain later why the "")

And this is the North side of the Old Palace:

The green tunnel leads to the pavillion you see in the background at the other end:

And as you can see it provides full shade to its visitors:

Here's the pavillion:

From here you can see the old palace and the green tunnel on the right:

And the Roman "ruins" from closer:

They're not actual ruins but a remake attempt during the mid 1700s. I prefer to look at the Palace's garden instead:

And this wonderful canal at this slope North of the garden:

While the garden is well maintained and watered,

The canal is partially dry:

Still beautiful though:

Look at that long green fence which starts from the old palace:

And the pristinely clean white benches where you can take a rest if needed:

A little too much for today? Have a rest and we continue walking around here on the next part!
