My last day here at Medard has come, world's least known village/town maybe but I find bits of interest wherever I go. Besides, I am not a "Mykonos" or "Ibiza" guy. So now I walk parts of the area that I haven't yet and I must say that Germans have a taste when it comes to road warning signs:
The following pictures really speaks about the low traffic of the area, especially considering that this is the main road here:
For some reason this huge local door/window factory (IGM) has very bad reviews on Google Maps:
Their headquarters are good looking though:
Very kind from the local municipality though "gute fahrt" to a non German speaker but an English one like me brings a 😂:
It's a nice walk by the main road in the absence of heavy traffic as one can use the sidewalk/cycle route:
It's not just the car traffic low, I haven't seen a train either:
But I really wish I had a bicycle here:
That's almost a km of straight cycle route:
Believe it or not I walked a few km up to here instead of riding my bike just to buy a few things from the local supermarket:
It's not just my love for walking, I have to our of respect for my body during long motorcycle trips. And now that I see these very few houses around, I wouldn't mind having one of those. Quite enough, green enough, market proximity...
Absence of sun though I guess - we can't have it all.
So next morning comes, I clean the place, load my bike and I'm ready to leave it all behind here. Including my far from talkative AirBnB host that I never met. To give you an idea about him, we're talking about the guy who left the shortest review for me ever. Actually he managed to leave the shortest review in the history of mankind. Make a guess how many words... ONE (1). And how many letters? THREE (3)! So he wrote: "Top". 😂
I hit the road to head North to my next place. Cloudy weather, pale day but not rainy. Not my best ride but not the worst either with some lovely parts. You can check it out in 4K here:
From one unfamous village to another and now I have just arrived at Mahlberg. My lovely host invites my bike in her garage so here it is gladly resting in a dry, warm and safe place:
The place itself is pretty sweet actually:
With some cute decorative details like this one:
Even better, I now have a bathtub at my exclusive disposal for the first time in this trip:
The most generous bathroom so far since it also has a shower, a robe heavier than my bike's full tank and a whole collection of bath foams, aromas, shampoos, you name them.
Soon it's all misty in here and I try to erase the burden of several thousands of km so far:
Bath does its miracle and I am ready to fall to bed which is the only not so great part of this lovely place as it is a sofa bed. We can't have it all...
Let me rest and I will meet you soon on the next one!
